This is my honest review of Winc wine and my thoughts and opinion about it. I love wine, don’t get me wrong. And as I embarked on this subscription, I would love to share what I think about it.

What is Winc wine?
Winc wine is a monthly wine subscription. It was founded in 2012 by Xander Oxman and Geoff McFarlane as a personalized wine club called Club W. And later on, updated the name to Winc.
The vision behind Winc is that wine should be more accessible and not overpriced. Both Oxman and McFarlane have a “shared belief that wine should be more accessible: simpler to get and easier to enjoy.”
Thus, the birth of Winc.
How does Winc works?
Winc is pretty easy to understand and navigate.
When you first log in to the site, Winc, you will then be prompted to answer their wine quiz. This enables them to generate their wine recommendations and for you to choose from.
You can choose 4 bottles of wine of your own preference. It can be all reds or whites, or combinations. After you have chosen your wines, you’ll put in your shipping and payment information. And voilà, your wines will be delivered to your door “right away”.
How much does Winc costs?
Winc’s membership itself is free.
And each month, Winc will send you at least three bottles coming in at $39 and with flat $9 shipping fee. But Winc offers free shipping with orders of four or more bottles, so might as well get that deal.
A bottle of Winc wine starts at $12.99. And depending on what you pick, your total payment might change. Because some wines cost over $20.
Skipping a Month?
Since Winc is a monthly subscription, you can skip a month anytime. However, when you skip a month, your line up of recommended wines gets deleted. And you have to start over on picking your wines.
Winc Wine Delivery
Once you picked out your wines, it will be delivered to your house within 2-3 days. But some times, it requires a signature of the receiver and verification of age. Thus, presenting your Photo ID might be asked.
However, if you are in the following states, please check first the availability of delivery as Winc is not yet fully available nationwide:
- Alabama.
- Arkansas.
- Delaware.
- Hawaii.
- Kentucky.
- Michigan.
- Mississippi.
- Rhode Island.
- South Dakota.

One thing I adore so much about Winc is their packaging. The bottles are so aesthetically pleasing! The labels are all beautiful!
And when delivered, it comes in a sturdy box. The box keeps all the wine bottles safe and protected. I honestly love the design and mind behind it.
It’s pretty simple but eco-friendly.

To sum up, I LOVE WINC! And I’m giving it 5 stars! The concept behind it is just genius and I love my wines and having the convenience of indulging is pretty awesome! And the quiz is a great bonus to explore more and learn more about your wine palate profile.
