The hidden message behind the holiday is more spiritual and relates to religion. Religion is the core of Easter. The original message for Easter is to celebrate Jesus Christ’s resurrection from the dead after the crucifixion.
Easter Facts 2: The Date changes Every Year
Easter happens on the first Sunday of April every year. Easter is unlike many holidays with a specific date e.g. Christmas on Dec 25th Dec or Halloween on Oct 31st. The actual date of Easter changes over time.

Why Easter date changes every year?
Easter date depends on the Paschal Full Moon. Researchers say that the “Paschal Full Moon is the first full moon that happens after the vernal equinox”, which is representing the new spring. Thus, the Easter date will be the following Sunday after the Paschal Full Moon.

John 11:25-26: “Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die, and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

According to many sources, “Christians in Mesopotamia dyed eggs red to mimic the blood that Christ shed during his crucifixion. The church purportedly took up this tradition, and it has continued ever since.”

Ever wonder how bunny connects to Easter? In Germany, the bunny was associated with fertility and spring. As early as the 17th century of Germany’s pre-Christian era, the rabbit symbol links to the resurrection of Jesus, and this tradition continues till this day.
7. Is Good Friday a State Holiday?
Good Friday is an important Friday before Easter. However, the federal does not consider this is a holiday. In fact, there are only as few as 10 states that consider Good Friday as a holiday. And they are: North Carolina, Connecticut, Hawaii, Indiana, Delaware, Louisiana, Kentucky, New Jersey, Tennessee, and North Dakota.
8. 90 Million Chocolate bunnies are sold for Easter
Can you believe that? There is more than 90 million chocolate bunnies sold across the world every year for Easter!
Being a certified chocolate-lover myself, I will also be a part of that 90 million people this year.

Little did I know Pretzels were part of the Easter tradition. Pretzels represent the Holy Trinity of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Historic aside, a good pretzel always warms the heart of many.

The diamond-studded Easter egg named ‘Mirage’ holds the record for the world’s most expensive Easter egg. Since there are over 1,000 diamonds on it, it’s not surprising to see this Easter egg got a bid of $8.4 million.
