I was like “Whoa!” This is so futuristic! IS this the future of skin care? I got giddy and looked it up online. THIS ONE is by far one of the best-seller and top-rated LED light therapy masks.
But, I know sales and marketing can be sometimes too good to be true. So, I did a little digging. I did my own research.
LED light therapy is really a NASA technology that was learned by the skincare tool professionals. They found out that it has ability to heal wounds and lessen skin inflammation. And there were two lights: Blue and Red. Blue light frequencies are observed to treat acne and pimples while red light is for anti-aging concerns.
Science Behind LED Light Therapy
The LED light therapy technology is supported by more than decades worth of scientific research. And skin clinics and beauty spas all over the world has begun using LED light therapy in recent years due to its extreme effectiveness. That’s why many love LED face mask!
However, I was hesitant knowing it will have LED lights directly on my skin and I have very sensitive skin. But, I found out that there are no ultraviolet rays in these devices. So, the risk of burns or damage are fairly minimal.
So, if you want to know more before buying too, here’s some things you should know.
7 Different Lights on LED Face Mask
From what I read, the two major light colors are Blue and Red. But this LED Face Mask has seven (7) different colors for specific skin concerns.
Cyanine Light – Enhance cell energy. It has 500-520mm wavelength. It can enhance cell energy gradually and it has a good metabolism facilitating effect.
Purple Light – It has 400-420mm wavelength that combines red and blue lights that have two phototherapy effect. It has good effect on repairing acne.
Red Light – Whitening and rejuvenating. Dilute spots and remove wrinkles. This will stimulate collagen production. Collagen is an essential protein that is used to repair damaged and old tissues. It can help remove fine lines and shrink pore size.
Yellow Light – Supplement cell energy. It has 565-590mm wavelength to improve the exchange of oxygen in the cells. It helps the cells replenish their energy to promote lymphatic drainage and improve skin’s elasticity and smoothness.
Green Light – Balance oil and deep whitening. It has 515-525mm wavelength that can balance color pigment, reduce fine lines, improve aging skin, lighten skin tone, and manage oil production.
Blue Light – Deep sterilization to remove acne. It has 465-470mm wavelength to kill acne-causing bacteria. And it has calming effect for sensitivity.
White Light – Speed up metabolism. It can penetrate very deeply in the skin to promote tissue metabolism and help improve appearance of fine line and wrinkles.
